Established in 1982 Michael’s Jewellers is a family owned, Independent Retailer specialising in ethically sourced Diamonds and Fine Irish hand crafted and European Jewellery.
Michael Carew has been a Jeweller since his early teens when he joined his uncle Willie of Carew Jewellers Parnell St Thurles, and learned his trade as a horologist. Having attended The Irish Swiss Institute of Horology for numerous courses and Kilkenny Design Centre, Michael, together with his wife Joan who also worked in the retail industry for many years were delighted to open their modern Jewellery shop. Michael became a Retail Jewellers of Ireland Registered Valuer in 1995
On 10th September 1982 Michael’s Jewellers opened its doors in West Gate Thurles. In July 1997 Michael and Joan was joined by their daughter Helen who had finished her Arts Course in Limerick and courses in Kilkenny Design Centre. Michael’s Jewellers is proud to continue as a family business offering handcrafted Gold and Silver jewellery with a special interest in Celtic designs. and a comprehensive repair service in their modern well equipped workshop.
