As a young teenager, Declan rewired an old mono Garrard turntable to a second amplifier and “heard stereo for the first time”. This was the seminal moment for him when he knew that his passion in life would involve the magic of sending voice through the air. “I was amazed that sound and pictures could be recreated at the other end and I’m still amazed by it! In 1985 I started the business and with the advent of wireless technology, I found that I enjoyed my ability to help present talent to a larger audience. We’re still doing the same thing today”, Declan says, “only it’s easier now!”
Fast forward over three decades and AV Star Systems is one of Irelands leading AV companies. It is still a family run business now steered by the second-generation Declan and James O’Sullivan. The company has a talented team who work tirelessly to highlight brands and engage audiences.
