Thurles Town FC

Thurles Town Football Club was established in 1977 when Thurles Town AFC and Peake Villa combined to enter the League of Ireland (Senior Team) with the Junior side playing in the North Tipperary and District League.

Thurles Town withdrew from the League of Ireland in 1981 while the Junior side continues to play in the North Tipperary and District League. Peake Villa returned to play in the Kilkenny League and the Tipperary Southern and District League.

Thurles Town AFC have enjoyed great success over the past 35 years and even longer as Thurles AFC winning numerous Cup / Shield and League competitions and are currently playing in the Premier Division of the North Tipperary and District League.

Thurles Town cater for Players in the 16 to 40 age group and play their home games in the Thurles Greyhound Stadium. Thurles Town AFC always extend a special welcome to new Players who wish to join the Club.
