In compliance with Irelands child safeguarding and digital consent laws, entrants 16 and younger must have parental consent to create a social media account. In accordance with these guidelines, entries submitted by under 16s must be published on official school accounts OR posted publicly by the students parent/guardian. If posts are tagged, are using the hashtag and open to the public, Thurles.ie will re-share to our official accounts.  Thurles.ie do not take any responsibility for public posting and re-sharing. This competition is limited to primary and post-primary schools in Thurles and surrounding areas only so please include your school name and class year in submissions. Failure to do so may invalidate your entry.

The semi-finalists for primary and secondary schools will be chosen based on engagement i.e. likes, shares and comments for each entry. Entries will close on Friday, 17th May at 4pm. The voting for the semi-finalists for both age groups will begin on Wednesday, 22nd of May. The voting for the winners will be completed via poll on this page. Note that engagement on our official, school or personal social media accounts WILL NOT count towards final winning tally’s and only votes placed on the polls will be valid.

Voting will close Wednesday 29th of May with winners announced Friday 31st of May. Note we will not ask for any banking details and winners will be contacted by our official accounts ONLY to arrange collection of prizes.
