This years theme is youth: Our hopes for the future.

The Thurles St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee are delighted to announce this year’s Guest of Honour for the Parade 2024 is Mr. Luke Blackwell. Luke from the Christian Brothers Secondary School in Thurles, Co. Tipperary, won an award at the 2024 BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition for his project ‘A statistical analysis of the wheelchair accessibility of different towns and a survey of public attitudes and awareness’

There are some very special prizes on the day for the best overall entry, runner ups, medals for every child who get involved and a special award that the judges will choose.

the St. Patricks day committee are also asking the shops in town to get involved and dress their windows up to be as green and fun as they can be! There’s going to be prizes available for the best dressed window and the best traditional window too!
